Spiritual WOD - 3/5/2012

What, or who, do you see every day that increases your faith in God?

"A man can banter with his friends and colleagues about whether God exists.  But a father looks at his daughter and knows." (Meg Meeker - Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters)

"You were shown these things so that you might know that the LORD is God; besides him there is no other. 36 From heaven he made you hear his voice to discipline you. On earth he showed you his great fire, and you heard his words from out of the fire. 37 Because he loved your ancestors and chose their descendants after them, he brought you out of Egypt by his Presence and his great strength, 38 to drive out before you nations greater and stronger than you and to bring you into their land to give it to you for your inheritance, as it is today. 39 Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the LORD is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other. 40 Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the LORD your God gives you for all time." (Deuteronomy 4:35-40)

  1. I've got a 2 yr old son named Cannon - he is always smiling and just loves life. When he smiles, if you are aware enough it is as if God is smiling at you! My other 2 kids are 6 yr old twins - same w/ them.

Also, I love to go outside on a cold, clear night and see the sky and the stars.

These things increase my faith in God!

    Thanks for this sight!

  4. my response would be the "what" which is the WORD OF GOD, the BIBLE; both the OT and the NT. words telling me of the love of a heavenly Father who loved the world so much that He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believed on Him would not perish but have life everlasting. John 3:16. even the provision through Creation shows the Fathers love. reading the responses of fellow Christian Crossfitters is a great blessing. thanks again for the challenge from the WORD OF GOD.

  5. I am a preacher/novice crossfitter and have realized that my 7 year old dauaghter has taught me more about the depth of God's love for all people then I ever learned or studied. The well of joy and love my daughter's birth and life has ignited in me doesn't even hold a candle to the inflammed love of God for me and you which could never be more or less than it is right now. Constantly perfect. The gift that she is to my life has helped me to discover how treasured we all are in His sight just as my daughter is in mine.

  6. When I stop for a moment and take in Gods amazing creation around me, that's when everything becomes still for a moment and all my running around sort of fades away, and I realize there is something deeper and more real going on beneath all of my thoughts. This connection with the creator. I have been thinking about this alot lately and realizing how absorbed my mind has become in all of the distractions we are constantly facing, and they seem to be increasing all the time. I miss Jesus. My Mac began running like a PC last night. Maybe it's His way of reminding me that He is the only thing in creation that is completely virus free, that can be relied on completely. At least it's one less distraction for a day or so.

  7. This is a great blog! I am so glad to see something authentic in the area of faith and fitness. When you train with your heart and soul and live as an example of Christ's love each day, people notice.

"Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress." I Timothy 4:15
