In Your Journal:

#1 - Write a prayer of praise that is inspired by the words of this passage.  Make it personal to you.

#2 - Reflect on the last 24 hours.  How did the Lord work in your personal life, your professional/academic life, and your relationships?

STUDY

List the top 5 most "SKILLED" individuals in the world  - past or present.  What made them "SKILLED?"

*Share your example on Comments.

"May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire."

2 comments:

  1. 1. Martin Luther King Jr.- His ability to lead and communicate changed the world.

    2. Buddha- His ability to teach has changed how people treat one another, the world, and all living beings.

    3. Nelson Mandela- His ability to adapt and survive while imprisoned, to lead and communicate a nation will forever change the world.

    4. Isaac Newton/ Albert Einstein- I put them together because both were needed to get to where we are today. Newton’s ability to think and create and Einstein’s ability to implement changed the world forever.

    5. Nikola Tesla- His ability to invent changed the world forever.

There were many I thought about putting on the list; Jesus, Gandhi, Mother Teresa… But I came to the conclusion that “skills” are something that can be learned and what these people had; humility, love, understanding… Could not be learned, they were not skills, but instead inherent gifts.
