Spiritual WOD - 1/23/2012

Let go of a grudge today.  Forgive and forget.

"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me?  Up to seven times?'  Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.' (Matthew 18:21-22)

"When you hold resentment toward another you are bound to that person or conditioning by an emotional link that is stronger than steel.  Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free." (Catherine Ponder)

  1. Can't really think of anyone I am holding a grudge against. Going to have to pray hard about this one....

  3. amen, Coley! unforgiveness and jealousy were part of my generational sins. I struggled for years before I finally crucified them, and how freeing that is. the bondage is terrible! I'm free, praise the Lord I'm free. no longer bound; no more chains holdin me. my soul is restin; it's just a blessin. praise the Lord, HALLELUJAH, I'm free!

  4. Forgiveness is all about YOU not the person who is unforgiven. They either don't know, or worse, don't care that you haven't forgiven them. So as stated by the others it is about letting go for YOURSELF.
