"Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, 'Come back later; I’ll give it tomorrow'— when you now have it with you." (Proverbs 3:27-28)
Iʻve always heard it said that our faith will change you from the inside out. For me it changed me from the outside in. Crossfit was a way for me to gain control of my flesh. I was able to see how strong and disciplined my mind could be. It took over flesh first, then allowed me to change my mind and my spirit. Being transformed by the renewing of my mind only was possible after physical neglect was stopped. I have never felt closer to God than when I am fighting with myself during a WOD, saying I can or cannot do something. Crossfit has changed my approach to life and to spirituality. It has never been more clear to me that in my weakness (Fran) he is there and have recently understood from Strength to strength. Thank you God for speaking to me in a way that I can comprehend.ReplyDelete
the above scripture reminds me of James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.ReplyDelete
my giving today went to my older son as today is his 51st birthday. having a wife and six children keeps him busy even after working all day and 2 evenings a week teaching science at the high school and college levels. Happy Birthday, Jeff!
I texted a sick friend, ironically before checking the S WOD! HE is amazing :)ReplyDelete
