Faith WOD - 3/28/2012

Review your physical fitness goals.

Then, meditate on our third theme verse: Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.  This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” (Proverbs 3:7-8)

How does this mindset help you achieve your physical goals?

  1. Gods commands are for our benefit. I find that when I am walking close to him my mind and my spirit are at peace. That translates to better sleep, increased focus, and overall wellness which is frequently reflected in my physical performance.

  2. Found this site a little while ago. Thanks and God bless you for helping to bring faith in the Lord to the crossfit community.
I see in this that living according to God's will (Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) is going to actually bless me physically as is shunning evil (sexual immorality, impurity, debauchery, idolatry and witchcraft, HATRED, discord, JEALOUSY, FITS OF RAGE, SELFISH AMBITION, DISSENSIONS, FACTIONS and ENVY, drunkenness, orgies, and the like). Sorry for the emphasis, but it drives me nuts that I see these particular ones getting overlooked. Being wise in my own eyes is to live the way I want to live in the heat of the moment. This teaches me that I need to do what's right, even when I don't want to do it!
