Spiritual WOD - 3/7/2012

Catch yourself saying, or thinking, the words "have to" -  and substitute "get to" every chance you can.

Example:  "I HAVE TO go to this meeting!"

Substitute:  "I GET TO go to this meeting!"

*Share your example on Comments.

"In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace." (Romans 6:11-14)

  1. I heard a woman give her testimony a while back. She had unexpectedly lost her husband when he died. And she said how much she missed seeing little things, like his dirty laundry waiting to be washed. This hit me hard. I'd been complaining about my husband taking off his socks in the bed at night and leaving them under the covers. I'd make my bed, nice-n-neat, then find huge lumps at the bottom. I'd have to un-make part of the bed to get rid of the lumps.

But, now, I grin when I see the lumps under the covers. Because the lumps mean I am blessed with a husband. And I "get to" be a wife. :)
