"I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also."(2 Timothy 1:5)
1. My wife through her love for worship music. She has completely changed my desire for secular music (other than occasional oldies). 2. My mother through her reminders when I find myself facing obstacles and not living in faith 3. My daughter (5) who demonstrates true child like faith when she often offers to pray and I can tell she prayers with absolutely no doubt.
My grandmother pretty much brought me up through the church and has influenced me since. My mother also reminds me when I tend to get stressed that I should rely on Faith. Finally, my cousin who was struggling to find his life calling and found it by becoming a minister and starting his own church.
My pastor, who let me be me even at church and didn't judge me with All my tears, fear and potty mouth. Kirsten who my pastor introduced me too. My father who told me to never give up on God. And my teacher who tells me that God has someone for me, who will love me just as I am.
Liv, followed the link to your blog from CF Faith. Thanks for sharing. Your response is inspiring. I can only pray to be the kind of example to others that your coworker has been to you. When marriage gets tough (and it does), I pray that I will continue to exhibit that love and respect for my wife that you described above. On a separate note, I like that you plan/track your meals and fitness. I've gone back and forth over the years. I do so much better with a plan. Another good reminder for me.
Thank you so much for your kind comments and for reading my response! I'm so glad you felt inspired. I definitely do better with a plan as well - and sharing it helps me be more accountable. Always a struggle but so worth it.
