What have you been designed - or designated - to fight for?

"Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." (1 Corinthians 9:26-27)
I feel like I have an obligation to fight for my family. It's almost as if we're under attack by a society that doesn't really value the family or what it stands for. I remind myself everyday that my 2 year old and 3 week old are worth the fight. That's how I stay in the fight. I know I'm not able to do it on my own, so I thank God for giving me strength and a warrior spirit.
ReplyDeleteI have fought for my country, I fight for my family, but in all things I (attempt to) put God most high.
ReplyDeleteGod
Family
Country
And in that order..
This is a time of continuing to fight for my marriage, for my wife's mental health, for my victory of the forces of Satan that want to control my mind and body and for the safety of the citizens of Denver. But it all good-with God in my corner, who can stand against me?
ReplyDeleteI have been designed to fight for the spiritual life of those who surround me whether it be my girlfriend, my best friends, my boss, or someone I hardly know - Jesus has called me to be a warrior in His army. Without Jesus though, I would not be able to fight for anything other than myself - only by his power am I able to wage war against the flesh and against the powers and principalities of this world.
