ReplyDeleteI praise God for my childhood. I have a Godly mother who took us to church from the time we (I am a twin) were born. We always thanked God for our food at meals. Every night my mother read the bible to us before we went to sleep. My father became a believer when I was in my teens. He is a retired police officer. He instilled justice into us from the time we were little. When we went to my grandparents house, my grandmother had a family altar time after supper. She sat in the rocker and all would gather round and she read from the bible to us. She would pray for her nine children and than start at the eldest grandchild, she would pray for all 26 of us. I know that every day of my life that my grandmother was alive, she prayed for me. What a gift. These verses were important to me when I raised my children. I wanted them to know God as always with them, when the got up, when they went about their day, and when they went to sleep. His love was always there. His power is always there. His redemption is always there. His Son is always there.
ReplyDeleteI had to memorize this verse for a bible class I'm taking in college. Such a great reminder that God is always there and He needs to be the first one we turn to in times of adversity
