What if...the "worst-case scenario" really happened?

List 3 things that could happen at your job that would create the "worst-case scenario."  What would you lose?

"Then Job replied:  'If only my anguish could be weighed and all my misery be placed on the scales!  It would surely outweigh the sand of the seas -  no wonder my words have been impetuous. The arrows of the Almighty are in me, my spirit drinks in their poison; God’s terrors are marshaled against me.'" (Job 6:1-4)

  1. 1. Mobilization, Global scale, War. 2. Deployment, Invasion of/in Country. 3. "Broken Arrow" overran position
    - Maybe lose my family, my Love, even my own life. Nothing weighs down more on the shoulders of a Soldier, his family, his Love, his entire life than war. It's always a possible reality and one that I fear daily, but if duty calls, well then it"s time to go to work. And if it's my time to go Home, then I guess it's time.

  2. My job is the least thing I fear. I became a grandmother last friday and I fear for my grandson's future. Not if he will have a great job, good education, etc, but I fear for perscution for being a believer. I fear the brain washing that goes on in this nation, especially targeted to the young. My greatest fear is what will happend to my grandson's father next week when he gets deployed. To send a son, my only son, in harms way is the hardest thing I have ever done. And to top that off is the fear for my only daughter who is a paramedic and firefighter in one of the worst towns in America. I daily, hourly, and sometimes every minute pray the prayer of Do not be anxious for anything but in everything with prayer and petition but your trust in God. We sang the old hymn last week in church "I surrounder all", and that's what I do. Other than that I am a big believer in being ready for the worst and happy every day when that doesn't happen. I believe we should be as fit as we can be, draw as close to God as you can through prayer, fasting, and bible study, have extra food and supplies for any type of emergency, have a plan and be aware that what we have here, if it is taken away or you have to leave it, doesn't matter. God sets up nations and takes them down. My hope is in Him.
