“The Lord bless you for showing this kindness to Saul your master by burying him. May the Lord now show you kindness and faithfulness, and I too will show you the same favor because you have done this. Now then, be strong and brave, for Saul your master is dead, and the house of Judah has anointed me king over them.” (2 Samuel 2:5-7)

  1. Sometimes when you're in the midst of life, it's hard to see God's favor. This past year I was praying about what I should do after I graduated college. I feel called to medical school, but also felt called to take a year off before going. I as I was praying, I also felt drawn to go to Atlanta, a place that I've worked before. So, I spent the first part of my final semester looking for work in Atlanta. I wasn't able to find anything but I did find an internship at Columbia University.

So, I've been at Columbia University all summer--still waiting for God to come through on Atlanta. Yet, I've been truly blessed by this experience and feel as if its made me a stronger Christian. Especially because I'm studying religion for this internship. I've been challenged and been made to stop and rethink my beliefs in many ways. Very, very beneficial. God is always faithful even when it doesn't seem like it makes sense. Because, let me tell you, New York City is a far cry from Atlanta!
