TODAY'S STEPS

READ:  Psalm 28

REFLECT:   Identify 3 people (or things) that tend to stand in the place of God as your Defender.

*Share thoughts on Comments.

RESOLVE:  Write down one phrase from the passage that reminds you of God's protection.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield;
    in him my heart trusts, and I am helped;
my heart exults,
    and with my song I give thanks to him.

The Lord is the strength of his people;
    he is the saving refuge of his anointed."

  1. No one stands in God's place, but I do believe my wife, different family members, and the body of Christ (the Church) help protect me as a shield. Verse 3; those who speak cordially to their neighbors, but harbor malice in their hearts. God Be with You by Jermiah Rankin in 1880; He will protect us from those who want to hurt us until we meet at Jesus' feet - WOW!

  2. The L ord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. (Psalms 28:7 NLT)

  3. Sometimes I may hide behind my parents, my own desire to control and my work to attempt to shield and protect me. Sometimes I ask God or a protective sheild to encircle me...many times I get it.
