RESPOND: Locate a statement in the Scriptures that speaks loudly to your opposition.
*Share your verse on Comments.
"Then I replied to them, 'The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but you have no portion or right or claim in Jerusalem.'”
End of verse 4- "So I prayed to the God of heaven." When we start our day with prayer to our God and seek for His guidance, we will overcome all opposition.
ReplyDeletenehemiah has always been a book that I loved reading because of its practicality. Lately alot of my opposition has come internally battling with self doubt and lack of trust, it's almost like training in the gym i love to push hard, but there are those times when you barely feel the pain, but you still want to quit because it hurts. But as I read through the passage for today, I am reminded of Malachi 3:10 and how the Lord calls the people of israel out for being deceitful with the resources he has provided them, and I admit that I at times am guilty of this. But in that passage the Lord promises to pour out a blessing that would be so great they would not be able to store it. Thanks for the devotional for today!
