REFLECT: How is the Word of God profitable for your daily life?

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
The Lord has allowed me to have training with my faith through gratitude. With gratitude in my heart I am a fulfilled person. Faith is required in order to express gratitude for the Lord. In 1 Chronicles 16:8, the plea to "Give thanks unto the Lord" is followed by an act of faith; "make known his deeds among the people." Such actions allow a living faith of God through the acknowledgement of his works in our lives.
ReplyDeleteMy "training ground" is my relationship with my father. He is bipolar and dealing with him when his illness takes over is very difficult but I have to remember he is sick and not of the right state of mind in those moments. I found 2 Timothy 4:16 and thought of my father saying to me I do not hold it against you that you did not come to my aid but know that I need your help and support. I have not always been there when he has needed me but will be from here forward.
