"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."

  1. I was born into a family that was very strong in their faith. I became a Christian at a young age and was baptized at the age of 12. When I entered high school I started to drift away from God. I stopped going to church and started living to impress my friends and just tried to fit in. Right after I graduated I started to realize that I felt empty and that I was tired with trying to impress everybody. I have always been into fitness and I started watching Crossfit videos. Most of them were about Rich Froning and Dan Bailey. These two men opened my eyes to the empty life I was living and because of their testimonies I was lead back to Christ. I started reading my bible and accepted Jesus into my heart once again. Since then I have grown immensely in my faith. I want to thank Rich Froning and Dan Bailey, not the Crossfit Athletes, but the Christians. I also want to thank Chip Pugh for posting these Faith WODS everyday. If it was not for you guys I would still be lost. I know this is the reason why you do what you do. You guys have shown me to live my life for Christ, not for myself.

  2. My faith appears to be tremendously fragile. When i am living in a quiet, more private place I can strongly feel God's presence in my life, but when living in a city I am pulled left and right by everything from the lusts of the world, to the beliefs of other christians around me. My faith needs to be on God alone, from him alone, and built on God alone. Staying strong in my faith is currently an immense struggle, but I know God is watching and extending a hand to pull me out of this crap. Just finding that hand is difficult. Faith for me came from feeling empty in university, and realizing that the talents i had been given SHOULD have a purpose in this world... just nothing I could think of made me feel at peace. God presented himself in my life and gave me purpose for everything I do... that purpose is incredible. All that we do, if we do it for the lord it has a purpose. I need God to stamp that in my heart, and on my forehead so I don't forget, and get pulled around by the world. My faith grows when I am working for God. My faith grows when I pursue my purpose in life, not for any other reason than for God.
