  1. I want to touch on the 'reflect' part of this wod first, God healed the man because 'Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had FAITH to be healed'. This man must have had an amazing amount of faith for Paul to just look in his eyes and know that he believed that he could be healed. Matthew 17:20 says "You don't have enough faith, Jesus told them. I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." I think this speaks to the amount of faith I desire to have as a believer. With faith everything is possible.
Without God in my life I couldn't love others, or be at peace about my future, or honour and respect my parents, or have a purpose in crossfit, or be able to resist the evil of this world.

  2. God used us to heal each other. Paul was a man and God worked through him like he works through us all, every day. The difference was Paul was open to being used. It is odd to look at it as being used, but that is what we have to be open to. Being used by the Creator. I would never have a chance at being a father, a husband, a mentor, a true police officer, or a servant if God was not opening those doors for me. I have tried to follow my own path, but I found no success until I was open to his plan (Jeremiah 29:11).

  3. Reflection: God used Paul to heal the man. God worked through his disciples.

Respond: 5 works of God that I could not accomplish on my own.
    1. I can work out and run. Doctors said that would never happen, God said different.
    2. Fathering my children. I struggle, but by the grace of God...the kids seem to be doing alright...lol.
    3. My job. I still don't know how I have this job...God worked miracles.
    4. Meeting my Wife. I was kind of lost and wandering when I met her. God clearly brought her into my life...and she has been the best thing to ever happen.
    5. Just getting up and going every day. I don't always have the drive...but God reminds me to press on.
