What is your PURPOSE today?

“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2)

“I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand. Henceforth will I apply ALL my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy.” (Og Mandino)

“Gospel” - first CrossFit Faith “Hero” Workout…

In the next 4 days, find a way to share the Gospel with all 20 people on your list from Monday’s workout!

“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Galatians 6:14)

Define the “Gospel.” Describe what makes it “good news.”

“Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-2)

Spend time in prayer for each of the people you listed on yesterday’s workout.

Why do you believe these people have been placed in your circle of influence?

*Share thoughts on Comments.

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way…” (Colossians 1:9-10)

Designate your “circle of influence.”

1 - Identify 5 people you spend the most time with every day.

2 - Identify 5 people you see every day that you may, or may not, spend time with.

3 - Identify 5 people you communicate with regularly over the phone or internet.

4 - Identify 5 people not among the previous 15 who witness your life, speech, and actions on a regular basis.

*You should have gathered 20 names through this exercise. If there was some overlap, expand your list, so that you have 20 names.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Add to your knowledge…

Commit this passage to memory: “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. 3 The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name.” (Exodus 15:2-3)

Meditate on this passage. Then, answer the following question:

“No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.” (2 Timothy 2:4)

What are 3 ways a soldier can become “entangled with civilian affairs?”

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:11-12)

What have you been designed - or designated - to fight for?

“Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” (1 Corinthians 9:26-27)

"Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
