What have you done in your life to think you will end up in heaven? the easy answer is im saved and my sins are washed clean daily by christ’s blood and grace. i also know that i am in no way deserving of this and there is nothing i can ever do to be worthy of this gift. theres just always been something about that statement that scares me. and reading matthew 7:21-23 always makes me wonder if im following christ’s will for me

You hit a bullseye with those questions.
Just out of curiosity, is the “Sheepdog” moniker inspired by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman’s articles about choosing to be a sheep or a sheepdog? A victim or a protector?

“How can you believe in a God that would send good people from all different religions to Hell even if they live ascetic lives and believe in God but don’t believe in Jesus?”
We know the answer can be found in the Bible. But unless someone believes in the inherent truth of the Bible, any answer feels inadequate and judgmental.

I think I would have a tough time if someone asked me, “Does Christ really know you?” Not mankind, but you? I know that He does, but articulating it would be tough. Just being real.

1) If babies die before having a clear understanding of the gospel and their sin, do they go to Hell?
2) If I was to die today and stand before God, and I lived a life solely for Christ. Everyday I lived a life that was glorifying to Christ and I always took the time to share the gospel with everyone I encountered. And people said that I was the closest representation of Christ they ever seen. Yet for some reason, when I stood before God and in his sovereignty sentenced me to Hell. Would I still say he is glorious? Would I still say that even though I lived my life solely for him, that he is perfectly just and glorious to give me what is due to me because of my sin? It would be hard for me to say yes, but I know that Christ has paid the price. So even if I can biblically answer the question of why I should go to heaven. Would my life look the same if I knew I was going to Hell? Because Jesus is worthy of all glory, independent of whether I spend my eternal life in Heaven or in Hell! So, the question is would my life look the same in this lifetime regardless of my eternal state? Do I glorify Christ because He is worthy of all glory and all praise or just as a “get out of Hell free card?”
3) Would I be willing to spend an eternity in Hell as Paul says for the salvation of others? (Romans 9:2-3) Do I really love others more than myself so much that I am willing to trade my eternal state with them? If not, why? Christ came down from Heaven (the place where all joy and peace is perfectly displayed and were He was lacking nothing) to die a maytars death on the cross for my salvation! So that others (myself included) could spend an eternity in Heaven.
I really don’t know if I could say yes to these last two questions, but I wanted to throw them out there to get others thinking about some of the questions I wrestle with.
