Faith Weekend WOD - 8/10/2012 to 8/12/2012

Add to your knowledge...

Commit this passage to memory: "Everything is permissible for me”—but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me”—but I will not be mastered by anything...Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:12, 19-20)

"It's not necessarily what you achieve in life that matters most.  It's who you become in the process of those achievements - that really matters." (Curtis Martin)

  1. Every day I get blessed by CrossFit Faith and our Lord. Thank you so much for the inspiration every morning. Yesterday I wore my tshirt to the gym and people were reading my shirt 1 Cor 10:31. They were Looking at me and I am very proud to be a Christian, to show and exemplify Christ in my life. Jesus rocks!!
We look around at society and see people not honoring God with their bodies, we see gluttony and greed and selfishness. We need to see more caring and taking time out for others and smiling more to show others Christ in our lives. When we do that, people want to know why we are so joyful and happy, it is because Jesus lives in our hearts and our lives every minute of every day. Thank you CrossFit faith for the reminder and the daily scriptures.

  4. Great testimony and reminder of doing whatever we do with a greater purpose in mind. I am not a football fan and have no idea who Curtis Martin is and what he has achieved. However, it is obvious that he has a passion for Christ and is serving as a role model. Thanks for sharing. This really made me think about whether or not I am doing enough in my role with the responsibility God has given me.
