  1. I can most relate to Abraham; I'm facing a huge decision, forgoing great opportunities here in Los Angeles, as well as an incredible church, community, and most my immediate family to go live with my pregnant wife in British Columbia, Canada. We'll be both starting from scratch, but I have faith God will provide like he has done over and over again. My wife was living with me here in Los Angeles, and we were filing for residency for her, and it's been over a year long process of her not being able to work. She went north to be with her family and get an ultrasound and then upon returning she was denied at the border. We haven't seen each other for almost 2 months so I'm making the decision to drop everything and start over there. It could be months before she can legally be in the US. Definitely lift us up in prayer.

  3. It is hard for me to read that chapter and think that I could do what those individuals did with their situations...very POWERFUL chapter!...verse 6 is a verse that these individuals obeyed that I need to grow stronger in my personal faith...Living By Faith written by James Wells in 1918

  4. I can relate to this also. My wife if 8 years surprised me with divorce papers and deprived me of seeing my beautiful children for the next two weeks. My faith is my shield knowing that God has chosen my path and I will follow to wherever it may lead me.

  5. True faith will always be accompanied by some sort of response. The example of the heros of faith in Hebrews chapter 11 show us that true faith will result in obedience to God no matter the circumstances.

  6. Markus, my prayers are with you and God's plan will work for you and your wife. As for myself, I have been waiting for the most amazing woman on the planet for over 3 years, she has changed me without asking me to do so, but I have found that it is not her situation that keeps us apart, it is myself. While I have always believed that God would bring us together at some point, my realization is that I have no faith, in anything or anyone. The amazing thing is that the word faith has been at the forefront of my life for the past 6 weeks or so, I find it amazing how people can have such faith without knowing what is in store for them. I am on the journey of finding true faith, and starting to talk to God every day, please keep me in your prayers as I take my journey.

  7. I love Hebrews 11:2 it is evidence of things we cannot yet see....

Like most, I have struggles and trials and can question why I'm going through all this emotional pain...? Yet, it never fails that whatever I'm having difficulties with....God speaks to me through a message I never could have imagined. I've had issues with my faith during years past... but, I've made the commitment to grow daily had continue to have hope...and faith.

To those who are hurting today....you are in my prayers.

  8. My prayers go out to all you above!

    Reflect:
God's true faith is demonstrated through historical accounts as well as in the lives of people around me and myself everyday. I sometimes overlook them, and need to be reminded it's God's work. Amazing things happen when you submit to faith in Christ.

    Respond:
I can mostly relate to Moses, as I have been "hidden" by my parents. More literally I have been grown up in a affluent family and turned a blind eye to the needy and less-fortunate. Now as I am going through college to determine my future I will probably have the chance to practice physical therapy for people much like myself, but I feel compelled by Moses' example to resist choosing to enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin and possibly be mistreated with the people of God. To consider the reproach of Christ greater than the treasures of the world, to look forward to the reward, to serve the needy.

  9. By faith God gave to abraham and his decendants life for a faith and gave them their lives back after they had been killed, they were resurrected by God for they had done what pleased him, GOD RENEWS ALL THINGS WHEN YOU HAVE TURNED TO HIM.
