1) Will not ask from those leading anything would not do themself-the leader
2) Puts needs of those leading above self needs
3) Understands their role as leader is to server

A specifc bible verse comes to mind, 1 Peter 5:2-3:
Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
3 characteristics: willingness, eagerness and leading by example.

I think a good leader helps others to live up to their full potential. A good leader garners respect. A good leader also knows how and to whom to delegate to.

1. truthful/honesty So big in todays society where people are always telling you what you want to hear.
2. unselfish. putting others first. the first shall be last, and the last shall be first. Who said that again?

2-Sacrificial in their attitude towards fellow mankind
