  1. I'm learning to love others, even though it means I can be hurt by them. I'm learning to have compassion rather than a who gives a crap attitude about those around me. I'm learning to forgive as I have been forgiven. I'm trying hard to walk away from the bitterness and cynicism if my past.

  2. God shows His love through me when I offer my support to co-workers who are going through difficult times, and driving way out of my to take people home who's parents are often not there for them. He shows His love through me by instilling in me an overflowing love and kindness for the people at my crossfit. He also humbles me so that I can be a servant to people who are difficult to love and serve. I thank God because without His love I could never do any of these things.

  3. I felt compelled - in a good way - to share my meal with someone at a bus stop on Saturday. We even spoke two different languages, so not much was communicated.

I often find myself feeling an agape love for my customers, especially those who are enduring financial hardship.

I often find myself almost excited when given the opportunity to encourage others who are situationally down and out.

I think that because I've felt compelled (again, in a good way) to share love with others in these examples - specifically in light of how good God has been to me - that I can see how these were really God loving on others through me.

  4. In light of the verses given with this Bible study, I can see firsthand now how acting in love, and also reflecting on times when I've intentionally acted in love - when accompanied with those verses - has a deafening effect on some of the negative self-talk that so often pervades my inner narrative.
